ACPC Director Nomination Results

The call for nominations for farmers to serve on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Canola Producers Commission (ACPC) resulted in three regional directors being re-elected by acclamation for a second term. One region received no nominations prior to the October 31, 2011 deadline and therefore a director will be elected during the commission’s annual general meeting.
Colin Felstad of Dapp was acclaimed in Region 5. Elaine Bellamy of Rosebud was acclaimed in Region 8. Jack Moser of Killam was acclaimed in Region 11. These directors will now serve their second three year term on the Board of Directors. Directors are eligible to serve two consecutive terms.
No nominations were received for Region 2, located in the south Peace, which includes the County of Grande Prairie, the M.D. of Greenview, Birch Hills County, Saddle Hills County and the M.D. of Spirit River.
Director nominations for Region 2 will be taken from the floor at the ACPC annual general meeting on Tuesday, January 24 in Edmonton during the FarmTech Conference. If more than one nomination is received, a director will be elected by all eligible canola growers in attendance.
