Call for ACPC Director nominations

The Alberta Canola Producers Commission (ACPC) is seeking canola producers willing to be a Director of the ACPC. The elected Directors will represent canola producers in their region for a three year term.

Who may become a director of the Alberta Canola Producers Commission (ACPC)?
 
Anyone who has paid the ACPC a service charge on canola sold since August 1, 2009 is an eligible producer and can stand for election as a Director. An eligible producer can be an individual, corporation, partnership or organization. Eligible producers must produce canola within the defined region in order to be nominated, but do not have to reside within the region. Nominations for the position of Director must be filed in writing at the ACPC office on or before October 31, 2011.

Region 2 is made up of the area included in the following:

  1. County of Grande Prairie No. 1;
  2. M.D. of Greenview No. 16;
  3. Birch Hills County;
  4. Saddle Hills County;
  5. M.D. of Spirit River No. 133;
  6. any city, town, village or summer village that is encompassed by the area described in clauses (a) to (e)

Region 5 is made up of the area included in the following:

  1. County of Thorhild No. 7;
  2. County of Barrhead No. 11;
  3. County of Athabasca No. 12;
  4. Smoky Lake County;
  5. Woodlands County;
  6. Sturgeon County;
  7. Westlock County;
  8. any city, town, village or summer village that is encompassed by the area described in clauses (a) to (g)

Region 8 is made up of the area included in the following:

  1. Wheatland County;
  2. Mountain View County;
  3. repealed AR 173/2005 s4;
  4. M.D. of Bighorn No. 8;
  5. M.D. of Foothills No. 31;
  6. M.D. of Rocky View No. 44;
  7. Kneehill County;
  8. I.D. No. 9 (Banff);
  9. any city, town, village or summer village that is encompassed by the area described in clauses (a) to (h)

Region 11 is made up of the area included in the following:

  1. County of Stettler No. 6;
  2. County of Paintearth No. 18;
  3. Camrose County;
  4. Flagstaff County;
  5. M.D. of Provost No. 52;
  6. Special Area No. 4;
  7. any city, town, village or summer village that is encompassed by the area described in clauses (a) to (f)
