How are Feed Grain Prices Calculated?
The feed grain price series is gathered each Monday morning by the ACPC. Feedmills, feedlots and grain traders provide the feed grain price. The "feed grain" price is based on what buyers are bidding (the price they are willing to pay) for feed grains delivered to them.
Prices are only posted for commodities if two buyers with the region have reported a price. We are continually working to increase the numbers of buyers submitting prices each week.
