New ACPC Policy Analyst

Karla Bergstrom is the newest staff member to join the Alberta Canola Producers Commission, in the newly created Policy Analyst position.
Karla has worked for Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development since 2001. She started as a Crop Specialist in the Provost District Office and was an original staff member at the Alberta Ag-Info Centre in Stettler.
She and her husband Colin also operated a grain farm near Meeting Creek until new opportunities moved them to Edmonton in 2007.
She has spent the last 4 years as a Production Crops Economist working with the AgriProfit$ Program, cost of production and various crop-related policy issues. Karla has her BSA in Agriculture Economics from the University of Saskatchewan.
Karla will begin her work as the ACPC Policy Analyst on January 3, 2012.
