Erin Brock with the Canola Council of Canada talks about the importance of using seed colour change to determine when to start swathing.
Research has shown that the optimum time to start swathing is when the main stem has 50-60% seed colour change. Erin explains how to check the main stem and to make an assessment and other factors that come in to play, especially if your field is at various stages.
